Peter Pan

Schauspielhaus Zurich

All children grow up - except one

For more than 100 years the adventures of Peter Pan in Neverland enchanted children and adults. With visually impressive and fantastic pictures, Ingo Berk stages the play at the Zurich Schauspielhaus.

The play by J. M. Barrie, first performed in London in 1904, tells the story of the boy Peter Pan, who flew away from home because he did not want to grow up. He lives on the island of Neverland, a secret and magical place. One night, Peter comes to Wendy, Michael and John and seduces the three siblings to fly with him to Neverland - an adventure full of fairy dust and wild battles begins.

Ingo Berk focuses in his production entirely on the story of the adventure of being a child. Magical creatures populate the colourful stage that the british puppet maker and director Mervyn Millar contributed to the play Peter Pan.

A prominent part of the stage design is a moon that changes colour to match the scene. 150 LED strips of the T series from Schnick-Schnack-Systems were installed behind a UV-active film. The power and data supply takes place by two Long Distance Controller.
